Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions is seeking a summer intern to apply your coursework to real projects across multiple sizes, from concept to construction. You will receive mentorship from seasoned engineers and learn the fundamentals of Revit drafting and AV, data center, and security design for conference rooms and data centers.

• Current student pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree related to computing or engineering.
• Interest in technology consulting, specifically in low voltage design.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) May–August 2027.
• Familiarity with Revit or ability to learn software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic learning to real projects from concept to construction.
• Receive on‑the‑job training and mentorship from experienced engineers.
• Learn basics of Revit drafting/modeling and AV/VA design for conference rooms, data centers, etc.

How Do Summer Internships Work?

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part‑time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.

Responsibilities

The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction. They are provided on‑the‑job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of Revit drafting / modeling and audio / visual, voice / data, security / access control design for conference rooms, data centers, emergency response centers, etc.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT project management, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or other consulting related degree
• Desire to pursue a career in technology consulting, specifically in low voltage design
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, etc.)
