Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions in Tampa, FL is offering a summer internship for students pursuing ABET-accredited degrees in relevant fields. The Intern will engage in Revit drafting and design across conference rooms, data centers, and security systems, learning from seasoned engineers with hands-on guidance.

Expected to work full-time for the summer with a hybrid option allowing up to 3 days remote. There may be part-time opportunities after the summer based on performance and the school schedule.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT project management, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Desire to pursue a career in technology consulting, specifically in low voltage design.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist on real projects from concept to construction completion with mentorship from experienced engineers, applying academic learning.

Job Details: Level: Entry. Job Location: Tampa, FL 33609. Position Type: Internship.

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.

Responsibilities:

The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction. They are provided on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of Revit drafting / modeling and audio / visual, voice / data, security / access control design for conference rooms, data centers, emergency response centers, etc.

Qualifications:

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT project management, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or other consulting related degree
• Desire to pursue a career in technology consulting, specifically in low voltage design
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, etc.)
