Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions in Charlotte, NC invites motivated students to join our summer internship program. Interns will apply classroom knowledge to real projects spanning concept to construction, with mentorship from seasoned engineers and on-the-job training in Revit drafting and HVAC/plumbing design.

The program runs mid-May through early August 2027, with a full-time schedule (40 hours per week) and a flexible hybrid setup allowing up to three days remote.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting.
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027.
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, IES VE, etc.).

• The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction.

How Do Summer Internships Work?

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC’s hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.
