Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories (RAA) invites you to join its Merchandising division for a 10-week internship in Chicago. You will assist Design & Merchandising teams and gain exposure to retail and wholesale fundamentals.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program, work on-site Mon-Fri, and contribute to creating seasonal product lines while learning from mentors across locations. This hands-on program emphasizes collaboration and real business impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Prefers majors in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or Fashion Marketing/Business.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and brand visions.
• Review selling reports and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and generate new product ideas.
• Assist with line sheet and sample preparation for meetings with customers and licensors.
• Enter specs into the PLM system to track samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
• Check in and organize development samples from factories.
• Coordinate with international suppliers through daily email communication.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Pay: $20.00 Per Hour

Dates:June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027

Schedule: In-Office, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 30-minute lunch every day

In this 10-week specialized program, you will work in our Merchandising division. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and will be exposed to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale businesses.

Merchandising Intern Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and specific brand visions.
• Reviewing selling reports and shopping the competitive retail landscape to identify white space opportunities and bring new product ideas to fruition.
• Assisting with/ line sheet and sample preparation for customer and licensor meetings
• Entering specs into our Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) System to keep track of samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
• Checking in and organizing development samples from the factories
• Working with/ International suppliers directly through daily email communication

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.

Qualifications:

• Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus
  
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
• Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks)
• Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
