Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories (RAA) invites you to join a 10-week Merchandising Intern program in Farmers Branch, TX. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and gain exposure to retail and wholesale fundamentals.

This on-site internship runs Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, with a mentor-guided group project to present to leaders in the final week. Build product knowledge, learn PLM basics, and collaborate across locations.

Qualifications

• Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business majors a plus.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday.
• Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks).
• Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Looking to gain hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and specific brand visions.
• Reviewing selling reports and shopping the competitive retail landscape to identify white space opportunities and bring new product ideas to fruition.
• Assisting with/ line sheet and sample preparation for customer and licensor meetings
• Entering specs into our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System to keep track of samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
• Checking in and organizing development samples from the factories
• Working with/ International suppliers directly through daily email communication

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
