Job summary

Stryker Group is offering an Intern position in Ortho Sales in St. Louis, MO. The role provides hands-on exposure to frontline sales activities, product handling, and collaboration with multifunctional teams.

The intern will shadow experienced Sales and Operations staff, assist with account development, and gain practical experience in delivering surgical instruments and kits in a fast-paced medical environment.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program after the summer.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Must be a permanent resident or US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to learn branch operations and attend a sales presentation.
• Develop a target account list and marketing strategy for a project segment.
• Learn selling skills and product use techniques with mentorship from sales teams.
• Shadow and assist with kit delivery to accounts.
• Assist warehouse team in assembling/breaking down instrument kits for surgeries.

What you need

• Currently working oncompletion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (preferred)

What you will do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
