QTS Data Centers is offering an Enterprise IT Support Internship designed to immerse you in the data center ecosystem. You will support the internal IT team, handle ticket requests, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on IT initiatives.

The program provides weekly lunch and learns, orientation, site activities, and volunteering events, with hands-on assignments tied to real company objectives related to data center builds and operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Organize and handle IT ticket requests as they come in.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Facilitate changes and IT based tools and access for staff at all levels.
• Leverage PowerShell for initiated solutions.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for projects.

QTS’ summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.

The Enterprise IT Support Intern will gain valuable exposure to one of the most impactful roles in a corporations internal IT team. Your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

Technology Intern:

• Organize and handle IT ticket requests as the come in

• Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization

• Facilitate changes and IT based tools and access for staff at all levels

• Leverage Powershell for initiating solutions

• Leverage a task/project management log/portfolio to properly distribute requests to other teammates

• Assist the Technology team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities.

• Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.

• Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate long-term corrective actions.

• Define and track agile development of software features requested by the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Must be a US Citizen

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:

• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.

• Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.

• Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Virginia. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Virginia only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Virginia with compensation that aligns with your location. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.

The estimated pay range for this role, if based in Virginia, is:

$19.50 - 29.82
