QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.The Enterprise IT Support Intern will gain valuable exposure to one of the most impactful roles in a corporations internal IT team. Your responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:Technology Intern:Organize and handle IT ticket requests as the come inBuild relationships with key stakeholders across the organizationFacilitate changes and IT based tools and access for staff at all levelsLeverage Powershell for initiating solutionsLeverage a task/project management log/portfolio to properly distribute requests to other teammatesAssist the Technology team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities.Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for assigned projects.Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate long-term corrective actions.Define and track agile development of software features requested by the business.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSActively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Must be a US CitizenPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:Auburn UniversityKansas State UniversityGeorgia State UniversitySouthern Adventist UniversityTexas A&M UniversityUniversity of KansasPrevious internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Virginia.
