Job summary

West Bend Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Summer 2027 Data Scientist Intern to work in West Bend, WI or Madison, WI in an office setting. Job Summary

As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work collaboratively with the business areas in a fast‑paced agile environment to predict risk, optimize customer retention, detect anomalies, and enhance process efficiencies using internal and third‑party data. You will have the opportunity to have hands‑on experience with insurance risk, claims and retention models, data visualization, model development using generalized linear models as well as machine learning and AI techniques.

Students enrolled in a Data Scientist related program who have strong written and verbal communication skills, good analytical and problem‑solving abilities along with a passion for harnessing big data for business insights should consider joining our team!

Work Location

This position is an in‑office role located in West Bend, WI or Madison, WI. No remote opportunities for this position are available at this time.
