Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is offering a summer internship that provides exposure to the data center industry, with weekly lunch-and-learns, orientation, and site activities. The Capital Markets Intern will engage with client, lender, and leadership teams while contributing to financial models and market research.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an economics/finance/Data Science degree, proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Develop strategic presentation materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Assist in maintaining QTS's long-term financial model with inputs from various departments.
• Support capital markets initiatives, including marketing materials and due diligence for new financing opportunities.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and industry research.
• Regularly interact with executive leadership and members of Blackstone.

Job description

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations. The Capital Markets Intern will be immersed in a wide range of scopes of work pertaining to client/customer and lender engagement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Develop strategic presentation materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Assist in maintaining QTS's long-term financial model with inputs from various departments.
• Support capital markets initiatives, including marketing materials and due diligence for new financing opportunities.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and industry research.
• Regularly interact with executive leadership and members of Blackstone.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS's partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school: Auburn University Kansas State University Georgia State University Southern Adventist University Texas A&M University University of Kansas
• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
