Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Logistics Project Manager to implement and control the management of materials between QTS locations. You will manage inventory tracking, coordinate with 3rd party vendors, and develop processes to improve asset transfers across sites.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of experience, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. This position is on-site in our Clarksville, TN location, with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
  • Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Manage inventory tracking and shipping with 3rd party vendors to maximize efficiency in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop, facilitate, and document processes to continually improve asset transfers between sites within expected time frame
  • Develop, manage, and maintain 3rd party relationships with transportation carriers, warehouses, etc. to ensure execution of required business outcomes
  • Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, and procedural efficiencies
  • Forecast equipment needs based on proposed business plan
  • Maintain knowledge of building types and how that drives equipment needs
  • Identify and resolve unique equipment needs of each site while mitigating risks
  • Develop and establish logistics processes for Procurement Development department to optimize network
  • Create and communicate status updates to support efficient decision making

Logistics Project Manager

The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for implementing and controlling the management of materials between different QTS locations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory tracking and shipping with 3rd party vendors to maximize efficiency in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop, facilitate, and document processes to continually improve the organization's ability of transferring assets from one site to another within expected time frame for maximum efficiency
  • Develop, manage, and maintain effective 3rd party relationships with transportation carriers, warehouses, etc. to ensure execution of required business outcomes
  • Responsible for reporting on inventory levels, supply chain progress, and procedural efficiencies to ensure that supply chain needs are being properly achieved
  • Forecast equipment needs based on proposed business plan
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of building types and how that drives equipment needs to guide design decisions
  • Proactively identify and facilitate resolution of unique equipment needs of each site while working closely with business groups to mitigate risks and issues to QTS
  • Develop, write, and establish logistics processes for Procurement Development department to optimize logistics/supply chain network
  • Create and communicate status updates to support efficient decision making

Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications
