Job summary

HANNUM WAGLE & CLINE ENGINEERING INC. in Indianapolis invites motivated students for a Summer 2027 Internship.

You’ll work closely with our civil engineering team on multi-disciplinary projects across road & bridge design, water resources, land development, and surveying. The internship lasts about four months starting May 2027, offers hands-on experience, exposure to CAD tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D, and potential for future employment based on performance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field.
• Strong academic record with coursework in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with Civil 3D or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities

• Assist on multi-disciplinary projects including road & bridge design, water resources, construction inspection, land development and survey.

We are searching for a motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our dynamic team at HWC Engineering. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced professionals on various multi-disciplinary projects including Road & Bridge Design, Water Resources, Construction Inspection, Land Survey, Land Development, Landscape Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, and Economic Development. This opportunity offers hands-on experience and exposure to real-world challenges within the Civil Engineering industry, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge, enhance your skills, and contribute to the success of our projects.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.

• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
