Job summary

Ryan in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to collaborate with experienced professionals on projects within the Unclaimed Property practice. You will gain hands-on experience with .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Azure, with possible exposure to Python.

You may own smaller tasks end-to-end under guidance, building skills across the software lifecycle. The internship emphasizes mentorship, networking with industry leaders, and paid holidays, with an optional all-expense-paid trip

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related study.
• Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship.
• Minimum Overall and Major GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of 6-12 technical credit hours depending on practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced technology professionals on software engineering projects for Ryan's Unclaimed Property practice.
• Develop, test, and enhance applications using .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Azure; exposure to Python.
• Take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish with guidance.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing to improve functionality.
• Work with team members to understand requirements, contribute ideas, and implement solutions.
• Gain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle including deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborative problem solving to grow technical knowledge.

You'll contribute to real-world projects while also having the opportunity to take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish, building your technical skills and gaining valuable experience throughout the software development lifecycle.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced technology professionals on software engineering projects supporting Ryan's Unclaimed Property practice.
• Assist in developing, testing, and enhancing software applications and features using technologies such as .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Microsoft Azure, with potential exposure to Python.
• Take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish, with guidance and support from experienced engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing to improve application functionality and performance.
• Work closely with team members to understand project requirements, contribute ideas, and implement technical solutions.
• Gain hands-on experience throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving to further develop technical skills and knowledge.

Education And Experience

• Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related study.
• Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship
