Job summary

Ryan LLC is seeking a Summer Software Engineering Intern in Plano, TX to collaborate with experienced technology professionals on projects supporting the Unclaimed Property practice.

You will help develop, test, and enhance applications using .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Microsoft Azure, with potential exposure to Python, and take ownership of small tasks under guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field; graduation within one year.
• Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of 6–12 technical credit hours depending on practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on software engineering projects for Ryan's Unclaimed Property practice.
• Assist in developing, testing, and enhancing applications using .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Azure; exposure to Python.
• Take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish with guidance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and test to improve functionality and performance.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and problem-solving to grow skills.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle from development to deployment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced technology professionals on software engineering projects supporting Ryan's Unclaimed Property practice.
• Assist in developing, testing, and enhancing software applications and features using technologies such as .NET, C#, React, TypeScript, and Microsoft Azure, with potential exposure to Python.
• Take ownership of smaller development tasks from start to finish, with guidance and support from experienced engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing to improve application functionality and performance.
• Work closely with team members to understand project requirements, contribute ideas, and implement technical solutions.
• Gain hands-on experience throughout the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving to further develop technical skills and knowledge.

Education and Experience

Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related study. Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship Minimum Overall and Major GPA of 2.8 Minimum of 6 – 12 Technical credit hours depending on practice

Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and etc.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
