Job summary

HNTB is offering Summer 2027 Intern Engineer opportunities in Arlington, VA; DC and Baltimore offices, in Water Resources, Roadway, Structures, Transportation Planning, ITS, Tolling, and Construction Management. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions.

The role supports engineering teams, assists with research and design, prepares drawings, and performs other duties. Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program and have a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
