Job summary

HNTB is seeking Intern Engineers for Summer 2027 across Structures, Roadway, Traffic, Track, Construction Management, and Project Controls in Pennsylvania offices including Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities include assisting engineer teams, conducting research and design support, and preparing drawings. Eligibility requires a high school diploma and current enrollment in an accredited engineering program; basic math and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus current enrollment in an accredited post‑secondary engineering program.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometry, and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to follow direction from peers and supervisors.
• Basic understanding of shop drawing and submittal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
