Job summary

Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, NC, invites motivated students to join our 10-week Summer Internship in Digital Marketing. As an intern, you will support campaigns across email, web, social media, and other channels, while gaining hands-on experience with our marketing tech stack.

You’ll work with seasoned professionals, help analyze performance data, and contribute to content updates, reporting, and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, and other digital channels.
• Support content creation and updates for websites, landing pages, blogs, and marketing communications.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics.
• Develop reports and presentations communicating marketing results and insights.
• Conduct market, competitor and industry research to support strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects.
• Support audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and marketing automation.
• Participate in website QA testing and content reviews.
• Maintain marketing documentation and best practices.
• Engage in special projects related to marketing technology platforms.
• Maintain regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, OFAC.

What You’ll Do at Live Oak

• Assist with the execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, and other digital channels.
• Support content creation and updates for websites, landing pages, blogs, and marketing communications.

• Support audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and marketing automation efforts.

• Help maintain and organize marketing documentation, processes, and best practices.
• Assist with special projects related to digital marketing, customer experience, and marketing technology platforms.
• Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.
• Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with an interest in interpreting data and identifying trends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Desire to learn about digital marketing, customer engagement, and marketing technology.

Preferred Experience

• Coursework, projects, or prior experience related to digital marketing, analytics, communications, or business.
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts such as SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing.
• Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of website technologies, including HTML, CSS, or content management systems.
• Experience analyzing data and presenting findings or recommendations.
• Interest in marketing technology (MarTech), customer experience, and digital banking.
• Previous internship, campus leadership role, or involvement in marketing-related organizations and projects.

The base pay range for this position is $19.77 - $32.12 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
