Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Field Operations intern for Summer 2027. The intern will assist the Site Manager with layout, material procurement, and on-site surveys while gaining exposure to structural, civil, and architectural disciplines.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Construction Management or Engineering degrees, with strong organizational skills, teamwork ability, and proficiency in MS Office. Some travel to project sites across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager with layout of building items (structural, civil, process, architectural).
• Support site management in procurement of construction materials.
• Perform on-site material surveys and report quantities weekly.
• Assist scheduling of construction activities and manage deliveries and subcontractor performance.
• Support safety program enforcement and conduct safety meetings as directed.
• Review and log shop drawings and submittals.
