Job summary

American Family Insurance offers a Customer Analytics Summer Intern role for a 10- to 14-week program starting mid May through August, with exposure to multiple business areas, data analysis, and insightful reporting projects in Boston or Madison, WI. The internship may include a one-time housing bonus based on proximity to office locations.

You will support analytics, dashboards and data quality, learn GCP tools, and gain mentoring through networking and coaching opportunities with leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience working with data in Excel and at least one analytical or reporting tool (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, or similar).
• Coursework or academic experience involving data analysis, statistics, forecasting, research methods, or data visualization.
• Experience with relational databases, data structures, and data quality concepts.
• Experience creating charts, dashboards, reports, or presentations that communicate data‑driven insights.
• Offer to selected you be contingent on signing a non‑disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions.

Job description

An internship with our company is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid May and ends in August. During your internship, you’ll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You’ll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.

Interns may be eligible for a one‑time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an our company office location.

Compensation Minimum: $25.00
Compensation Maximum: $39.00

The Customer Analytics Summer Intern will support the Customer Analytics team in delivering customer insights, business reporting, data analysis, and strategic research programs. You will provide hands‑on experience working with customer, marketing, and customer experience data while helping support main business questions related to customer growth, retention, and engagement.
