Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a Cook for Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI. You will review menus, prepare food, operate kitchen equipment, and uphold health codes. The role offers weekly pay, development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible schedules.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in back-of-house foodservice, can read prep sheets, and will maintain cleanliness and safety across stations. OT and shift variations are possible as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza to meet portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, storage correct, and all items meet specs.
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked.
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines.

What will you do?

• Prepare pizza to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items are maintained, and all products are to proper specifications
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 35 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
