Job summary

ASR Group, the world’s largest cane sugar refining and marketing company, seeks a Process Supervisor in Louisiana. You will direct all refining activities, ensure quality, energy, water, and power efficiency, and lead teams in a unionized environment.

You will execute daily standard work, drive operational results, and foster employee engagement while upholding safety and regulatory standards. A strong background in GMP and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma; bachelor’s preferred in engineering, science, or business.

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices; SAP experience preferred.

OVERVIEW

The Process Supervisor will direct all activities of the entire refining process of cane sugar including the receipt of liquid materials, ensuring quality standards are met through the efficient use of energy (fuel and steam), water, air, and electric power.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains standard production rates while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards
• Leads assigned teams in the continuous improvement process
• Achieves results through subordinates in a unionized environment
• Executes daily standard work, driving overall operational results and employee engagement

WORK EXPERIENCES

• 5 years of experience in a chemical processing, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant as a process/production supervisor or related experience is desired
• Previous experience supervising union personnel is preferred
• Experience with and demonstrated success in leading operational excellence/continuous improvement efforts is also preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s degree is required in an engineering, science, or business related field is preferred
• Concentration in chemical engineering, physics, or related science field is preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for the supervision of 20 to 30 union hourly employees
• Quantifiable leadership skills
• Ability to train others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Proficiency with SAP is preferred
