Michigan Sugar Company is seeking a packaging operator to join our production team in Michigan. You will run consumer packaging equipment to target rates, perform quality checks, and complete daily documentation to ensure customer specifications are met.

Respect for safety rules, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work various shifts are essential. Forklift training may be required at times as part of routine operations.

Qualifications

• Production experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required daily.
• Must follow SQF & GMP quality system guidelines and safety practices.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot conditions.
• May be licensed to drive a fork truck as needed.
• Ability to work any shift and weekend overtime.

Responsibilities

• Run consumer packaging equipment at set rate.
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished goods meet requirements.
• Complete required documentation for operations performed.
• Package consumer bags into customer boxes at 35 bpm.
• Operate sugar bundling equipment as needed.
• Stack finished product on pallets within cycle times.
• Report problems to team leader or teammates for resolution.
• Adhere to safety protocols during all tasks.
