Job summary

LeoForce in Scottsbluff, Nebraska seeks a Process Shift Supervisor to lead the sugar-beet processing team and drive safe, efficient production on the factory floor.

Responsibilities include planning shift activities, maintaining quality and safety, coaching staff, and coordinating with maintenance and purchasing to ensure material availability and machine readiness. The role favors hands-on leadership with KPI accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in industrial processing or manufacturing.
• Experience leading hourly production employees on the factory floor.
• Improving safety, productivity, process performance, or product quality.
• Knowledge of production processes, KPIs, troubleshooting, and safe work practices.
• Willingness to develop maintenance and process knowledge.
• Interest in continuous-improvement and Lean Six Sigma.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work with hourly employees, technical teams, and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift personnel responsible for processing sugar beets and producing finished sugar.
• Promote safe practices and support a zero-injury workplace.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
• Plan, organize, schedule, and direct shift activities to optimize production.
• Ensure adherence to quality systems, procedures, and SOPs.
• Monitor, measure, and report production performance, KPIs, and operational issues.
• Troubleshoot processing problems and apply root cause actions.
• Train employees on stations, procedures, safety, and productivity.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with purchasing for supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance and preventive maintenance with teams.
• Collaborate with other shift supervisors for smooth shifts.
• Apply labor agreement and enforce rules.
• Spend up to 80% on the factory floor coaching and supporting staff.
