Job summary

Open Hands in Virginia Beach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care and supervision to individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, personal care, and support behavior management and individual service plans.

You will also administer medications as required, transport individuals to training and community activities, and maintain a clean, safe, supportive environment. A compassionate mindset and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of professional experience.
• Valid Driver’s License & Active Car Insurance.
• Good communication skills (written & oral).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to individuals.
• Assist with daily activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Support behavior management and individual service plans.
