Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface investigations at work sites in the Atlanta area. The role involves locating utilities with GPR and other equipment, and preparing field sketches and as-built drawings.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate documentation and safe excavation practices. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of SUE experience, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of SUE, utility locating, or related field experience.
• Familiarity with QL-B, QL-C, QLD and QL-A methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, locators, and vacuum excavation.
• Accurately locate and identify underground utilities (gas, electric, water, telecom).
• Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff for reporting and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards.
• Assist with reports, deliverables, and field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good condition.
