Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations and locate underground utilities using GPR and locators. You will prepare field sketches, collaborate with engineers, ensure safety, and assist with reports and field notes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of SUE or utility locating experience, with the ability to read plans and travel to job sites as needed.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.
• Accurately locate and identify underground utilities such as gas, electric, water, and telecommunications lines.
• Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure accurate reporting and safe excavation.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
• Assist with preparing reports, deliverables, and field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good condition.
