Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations at the job site. You will use GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation to locate utilities and prepare field sketches and as-built data.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and engineers, ensuring safe excavation practices, and maintaining equipment. Travel to various job sites may be required and a pre-employment drug screen will be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in SUE or utility locating.
• Ability to read and interpret construction/utility plans.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license; pass drug screen.

• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry standards.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, deliverables, and field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional condition.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements:

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
