Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation. You will locate utilities, interpret field sketches, and report findings to project teams on active job sites.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in SUE or related fields, familiarity with QL-B/C, QLD and QL-A, and the ability to read construction plans. A valid driver’s license and drug/background checks are required.

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in SUE, utility locating, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SUE methods, including QL-B, QL-C, QLD and QL-A.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
