Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques at sites in Atlanta, GA.

You will locate utilities, prepare field sketches and as-built data, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate reporting and safe excavation practices. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of SUE experience, with a valid driver's license and ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of experience in SUE, utility locating, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SUE methods (QL-B, QL-C, QLD, QL-A).
• Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
