Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC is seeking a SUE Phase Manager in Atlanta, GA to oversee budgets, staffing, and project delivery within our Subsurface Utility Engineering team. The role emphasizes leadership, client coordination, and accurate reporting for multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will manage staff, ensure on-time deliverables, and drive QA/QC while collaborating with Project Managers and clients across DOT-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or higher.
• Experience leading a group in a professional setting preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering software and technical tools.
• Experience working on DOT projects.
• Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads and AutoCAD.
• EIT or PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute work plan and monitor staffing requirements for projects.
• Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing staff.
• Lead staff and provide them with a clear explanation of the scope.
• Develop reports from accounting software to provide accurate project reporting.
• Manage scope, budget, and QA/QC for assigned project duties.
• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
• Review performance data to monitor productivity and activity levels.
• Serve as Company representative at meetings and presentations.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Exhibits thorough understanding of offered SAM services.
• Ability to craft proposals and change orders.
