Qualifications

• Entry-level field role in subsurface utilities (SUE).
• Must be able to stand/walk long distances and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills required.
• Ability to operate surveying instruments, boats, GPS and excavation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Project Manager, project team, and client field representative.
• Select and apply geophysical prospecting equipment to designate underground utilities.
• Operate a vacuum excavation truck and perform test holes to expose utilities.
• Complete documentation, including record keeping and basic math, legibly and accurately.
• Select and implement maintenance of traffic signage and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with utility company representatives and field crews.
