Woolpert seeks a Sue Field Lead to join its Survey & Geomatics Team in Virginia Beach, VA. The role oversees a team of Utility Locators/Designators and SUE Technicians for on-site investigations to map underground utilities, with up to 80% travel within Virginia and beyond.

The position requires leadership, EM locating and GPR proficiency, and a commitment to safety and project quality. Visa sponsorship is not available; work authorization is required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED and OSHA certifications.
• Proficient with EM locating equipment and GPR.
• Six years of related work experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel frequently, including overnight.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise a team of Utility Locators/Designators and SUE Technicians.
• Operate locating tools to map utilities and ensure accurate field markings.
• Analyze data to determine utility location, depth, and type.
• Provide training and mentorship on equipment operation and methods.
• Maintain training materials and records; ensure equipment calibration.
• Maintain accurate records of locations, activities, maintenance, and performance.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules and budgets to support project completion.
• Support field teams and resolve discrepancies as needed.
