Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Utility Analyst to support SUE operations for the Virginia-based survey practice. The role involves coordinating field crew activities, traveling across the state, and collaborating with project leads, clients, and utility providers to deliver accurate utility designations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and experience as a SUE Party Chief, with willingness to travel and pass a driving background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as SUE Pary Chief preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be willing and able to travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates operations of SUE field crew.
• Coordinates with other project leads, clients and utility providers.
• Perform field assignments that include vacuum excavation and utility designation.
• Performs operations with utility locating equipment.
• Perform records research
• Proficient in understanding construction plans and utility records.
• Follows policy and procedures to confirm all deliverables are done accurately and efficiently.
• Mentor field staff in the use of vacuum excavation and utility designation equipment.
