Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled SUE CAD Technician to process survey data, develop precise SUE CAD plans, and ensure GDOT standards compliance. The candidate will collaborate with project managers, field crews, and utilize various CAD tools to deliver accurate, regulator-ready drawings.

Ideal applicants have 2+ years of SUE CAD experience and proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with strong map-reading and data interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a SUE CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in MicroStation v8i, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
• GDOT project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret maps and technical drawings.
• Understanding of utility systems, layout, and geospatial configurations.
• Ability to interpret and transpose utility records and as-built drawings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process raw survey data into CAD-compatible formats.
• Develop precise SUE CAD plans aligned with PDP and EDG.
• Perform QA/QC checks on CAD drawings for accuracy.
• Follow GDOT SUE Deliverable Checklist for compliance.
• Collaborate with SUE Project Manager to meet goals and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers and field crews for updates and issue resolution.
• Verify utility locations with field crews and reconcile data discrepancies.
• Identify CAD workflow improvements and efficiency opportunities.
• Support related tasks to assist project goals and client needs.
