Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health in Columbia, MD seeks a Substance Use Disorder Therapist to provide evidence-based outpatient care in a collaborative team. This PRN/Full-Time role emphasizes client-centered treatment and systematic documentation to support recovery goals.

You will conduct assessments, facilitate groups, and coordinate with referral sources while addressing co-occurring needs. A Master’s degree and 2+ years in SUD are required; Maryland credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in the SUD field.
• Strong clinical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Comfort working in an electronic medical record system.
• Familiarity with recovery modalities (12‑Step, SMART Recovery, Harm Reduction, etc.).
• Flexible, team‑oriented mindset with growth-minded energy.
• If in personal recovery: minimum of 3 years sobriety (5+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative treatment alliances with patients, adapting to evolving clinical needs.
• Facilitate addiction treatment groups at IOP/OP levels of care.
• Deliver addiction and recovery education presentations.
• Conduct assessments, case management, discharge planning, and coordinate with referrals.
• Address co-occurring psychiatric needs with the team.
• Complete evaluations for SUD using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation meeting state/CARF standards.
• Track outcomes: retention, attendance, completion, goals.
• Share on-call coverage rotating schedule (about one week, a few times/year).
• Apply Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and trauma‑informed care in practice.
• Represent Kolmac/CCG professionally in and out of sessions.
