Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced addiction treatment professional to deliver clinical care and group facilitation in Maryland. The role emphasizes collaborative patient engagement, DSM-5 and ASAM-based evaluations, and strong documentation aligned with CARF and state standards.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, discharge planning, and coordinating with referral sources, while incorporating motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care in daily practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in SUD treatment with group sessions preferred.
• Strong clinical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience using an electronic medical record system.
• Familiar with recovery modalities (12-Step, SMART Recovery, Harm Reduction, etc.).
• Flexible, creative, team-first mindset.
• If in personal recovery: minimum 3 years sobriety; 5+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative treatment alliances with patients.
• Facilitate addiction treatment groups at the IOP and OP levels.
• Deliver engaging addiction education presentations.
• Perform assessments, case management, discharge planning.
• Coordinate with referral sources and other providers.
• Address co-occurring psychiatric needs with the team.
• Complete DSM-5 and ASAM-based evaluations.
• Maintain clinical documentation meeting CARF/state standards.
• Track outcomes: retention, attendance, completion, goals.
• Share on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
• Apply MI, CBT, trauma-informed care in daily practice.
• Represent the organization professionally in and out of session.
