Job summary

Anew is seeking a SUD Therapist to support clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns in a flexible, clinician-led outpatient setting. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, holistic care, and collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.

The position involves assessments, treatment planning, and delivering individual and group therapy, with supervision by the Clinical Director. Licensure in the relevant state and HIPAA-compliant practice are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the state you are providing services in.
• NPI and Medicaid Provider Number preferred and required to start work.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required with appropriate licensure; an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• All applicants must submit to and pass a background check prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify substance use issues and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery and coping strategies.
• Provide psychoeducation regarding substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
• Collaborate with case managers, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate care for clients.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes following agency and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to remain informed of best practices in the field of addiction treatment.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
