Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a Recovery Support Counselor for the East Bay Community Recovery Project (EBCRP), Project Pride in Oakland, CA. The role provides SUD counseling, support services, and case management to women and children in the residential program.

The position requires professional conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with the SEIU-UHW CBA. Full-time, benefit-eligible with opportunities to impact clients and community health.

Qualifications

• Certified or registered SUD counselor with California certs (CCAPP/CADTP/ACCBC) or AMFT/ASW status.
• BA in psychology, social work or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with SUD or co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group substance use counseling.
• Develop service plans and coordinate services for residents within the program and referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the county electronic health record.
• Transport residents via agency vehicle as needed and participate in trainings and meetings.
• Perform weekly random urinalysis testing of all residents.
