Job summary

Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Specialist to support clients in treatment for substance dependency.

You will assess needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide clients toward goal-directed recovery with skills, supports, and resources. Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with medical and behavioral health providers, conducting intake, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience as Recovery Specialist, Substance Abuse or Behavioral Disorder Counselor.
• Licensure/Certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling (RADT or CADC).

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' behaviors and develop treatment plans.
• Assist clients in articulating recovery goals and creating plans.
• Coordinate with medical and behavioral health providers.
• Document progress and maintain required records.
• Interview clients and evaluate suitability for programs.
• Provide intake and program orientation for participants.
• Intervene in crisis situations and advocate for clients.
