Job summary

Stanislaus County BHRS seeks an experienced Manager I/II to lead its SUD primary prevention portfolio, including opioid settlement-funded initiatives and coalition work. You will convene diverse partners, translate data into actionable strategies, and strengthen community supports and access to services.

This newly created role emphasizes cross‑agency collaboration, performance measurement, and effective resource alignment with federal, state, and local funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and progressive supervisory/lead experience in community health or behavioral health.
• Ability to convene and sustain multisector coalitions, coordinate multi-agency initiatives, and manage contracts and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for SUD prevention, education, and community engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate planning and implementation of prevention activities across funding sources.
• Develop and sustain community coalitions and partnerships to advance prevention goals.
• Supervise staff and provide professional development.
• Monitor performance, expenditures, reporting, and grant compliance.
• Represent the department at community events and interagency meetings.
