Mental Health Systems, Inc. seeks a SUD Counselor in Hanford, CA to provide assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, care coordination, and relapse prevention.

This full-time position requires dedication to client-centered care and adherence to program standards. The role emphasizes evidence-based recovery skills, collaboration with clients and families, and ongoing documentation to meet federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• SUD certification is preferred; SUD registration is required.
• Valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software is preferred.
• TB test within 45 working days of hire or within 5 working days of employment; CPR and first aid certification upon hire or within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Interventions including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, collateral services and other recovery-related activities.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation as contractually required for direct billable services.
• Review charts and treatment plans to ensure compliance with agency and governmental standards.
• Support and encourage family/significant others to participate in stabilization and services.
• Facilitate placement including pre-placement visits and transportation as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of client care at all times.
• Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
