Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is a leading nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States. We seek Substance Use Disorder Counselors to provide clinical services in coordination with the treatment team, upholding our Standards of Care and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or certificate/degree in addiction counseling or equivalent.
• Active Substance Use Disorder certification or license in state you will be working (MN: LADC).
• Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars.
• Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days (from American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Satisfactory pass of state/license specific background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use disorder treatment services to patients according to Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Represent Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge about services, processes and participation.
• Communicate patient information to internal and external resources in line with policy and CFRs and mandated reporting requirements.
• Maintain a manageable caseload with a focus on quality care and ethical practice.
• Engage in weekly clinical supervision for licensure hours and participate in group supervision with a diverse clinical team.
• Pursue ongoing professional development with CEUs at no cost to you.
• Take advantage of reduced tuition to Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies.
• Support DEI initiatives within leadership and the organization.
