VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor at the Otero County Detention Center in Alamogordo, New Mexico for a full-time position. You will work with a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Unit to provide crisis stabilization, intakes and ongoing evaluations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and CADC/CAADC certification (or pursuing). You will participate in a collaborative care approach and support inmate treatment planning with flexible hours

Competenze

• Bachelor's level program or higher is required.
• Must have a substance use certification (CADC/CAADC) or be actively working towards attaining one and obtain within two years of hire.
• Related experience in a clinician/counselor/social work capacity preferred.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends.

Mansioni

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborate with medical team to determine overall treatment for individuals.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff and community providers.
• Prepare documentation, records and reports in a timely manner.
• Utilize CBT and Motivational Interviewing techniques as needed.
