VitalCore Health Strategies in Alamogordo, NM is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (CAADC, CADC) to join the Behavioral Health team at the Otero County Detention Center. This full-time role focuses on crisis stabilization, intake, and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary group.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and a CADC/CAADC certification or active pursuit with supervision if not yet certified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• CADC/CAADC certification required or actively pursuing with certification within two years of hire.
• If not certified, must be under direct supervision of a certified supervisor with documentation.
• Flexibility for days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, intakes and ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborate with medical, psychiatry, and other teams to determine treatment.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community referrals.
• Document thoroughly and timely.
