VitalCore Health Strategies, located at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, DE, seeks a full-time Substance Use Disorder Counselor (CAADC, CADC) to join a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Unit. Salary ranges from $55,000 to $68,000 annually, with experience-based pay and benefits.

You will work face-to-face with inmates, collaborating with medical, psychiatry, and community providers to deliver proactive treatment and discharge planning in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree or higher required.
• Certification in substance use (CADC/CAADC) or actively pursuing with 2-year timeline.
• Supervision requirement for non-certified individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, intakes and ongoing evaluations.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and community providers.
• Perform risk assessment and discharge planning.
• Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives.
• Prepare necessary documentation and reports.
• Apply CBT and Motivational Interviewing in clinical practice.
