VitalCore Health Strategies in Delaware is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (CAADC, CADC) to join the Behavioral Health Unit at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna.

This full-time position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver proactive, compassionate care to inmates in need. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and CADC/CAADC certification (or active progress toward certification within two years).

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a clinical field.
• CADC/CAADC certification or active progress toward certification (within 2 years).
• If not certified, must be under supervision by a certified supervisor with documented supervision.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends.

Mansioni

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and offer consultation to in-house and community services.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and coordinate with the medical team for overall treatment.
• Perform risk assessments and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and discharge planning.
• Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives.
• Prepare documentation, records and reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Apply clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs and crisis management; utilize CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
