Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering Field Technician to join our Mobile, AL team. You will document underground utility conditions using GPS, GPR, and visual inspection while handling field equipment and traversing challenging terrain.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Training is available for those without experience; physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Willing to train new hires with no experience.
• Must be able to perform field investigation duties under adverse conditions.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read various engineering drawings and specifications, proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, are all a plus.
• Must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
• Technical capacity and ability to read, visualize and comprehend maps and GPS data.
• Ability to project the time required to meet goals, manage time available and prioritize production based on deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Documentation of underground utility conditions via visual inspection and GPS/GPR data.
• Operate testing and inspection equipment, and manual tools as needed.
• Work independently under various weather conditions to provide field inspection services.
