POSITION: Transportation Assistant (School Bus Aide) - SUBSTITUTE for the 2026/2027 School Year Multiple Openings

LOCATION: Transportation Department

AVAILABLE: 2026/2027 School Year (Year round hiring)

COMPENSATION: $18.52 p/hr

HOURS: Substitute - As Needed

DESCRIPTION: CBSD is accepting applications for Substitute Transportation Assistants. The Transportation Assistant (School Bus Aide) will ride on a school bus and assist Special Needs students. Applicants must be in good physical condition as responsibilities include securing wheel chairs (including tie-downs), strapping a child into a safety vest and/or fastening a seat belt.

Training provided.

REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be able to stoop, crawl, climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have patience and enjoy working with children.
