Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking substitute teachers and student-support staff in San Tan Valley, AZ, to supervise and assist students across classrooms and campuses. You’ll work day-to-day assignments as a W-2 employee, with direct deposit pay and ongoing consultant support for training and career planning.

Ideal candidates have a teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, a passion for education, and a collaborative mindset to partner with school staff and fellow educators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks required.

Daily Pay Range:

$147 - $174.Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher
• Communicate clearly with school staff
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
