Scoot Education is partnering with schools in California to place substitute teachers and paraprofessionals for short-term and long-term assignments. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced educators, gaining classroom experience and earning competitive pay.

As a W-2 employee, you’ll receive weekly direct deposit, paid training, and ongoing support from Scoot consultants who help match you to opportunities that fit your credentials and career goals.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a supervisor.
• State and federal background checks required.
• TB risk assessment or test required.

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment and encourage engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and assist students safely.

Daily Pay Range:

$150 - $213.Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits

You’ll Stand Out If You:

• Passion for education and putting students first

• Have a teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit
• Have previous experience in special education settings
• Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher
• Communicate clearly with school staff
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
